Annual Bad Golf Tournament
The shotgun tourney was held on Saturday, March 29th, 2008 at the Candler Park golf course and hosted by the Greater Atlanta Men's BBQ Club & Support Group. Thirty-two brave men (including Principal Mitchell) dared take on the fierce 9-hole course hoping to gain fame with the Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, or Hole-in-One prizes. A few decided to just heckle the rest.The end of the round was just the beginning of the fun as a delicious luncheon - sponsored by the local Fox Brothers BBQ - was inhaled and tales of great deeds were told. At the end of the festivities, an oversized donation check was presented to Principal Mitchell for $425 to benefit Mary Lin Elementary. It was a great outing for a terrific cause with some fair golfers.
