Mary Lin Education Foundation
The Mary Lin Education Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit created in 2008 with the help and support of the PTA. The mission of the foundation is to help Mary Lin Elementary School achieve its educational goals by providing instructional, physical, and technological opportunities for the enrichment of Mary Lin students.
Like the foundations at Morningside Elementary, Inman Middle, and Grady High, we want to do all we can to insure success for our teachers and students. You can see a brief PowerPoint explanation HERE and visit the Foundation's website at www.marylinfoundation.org for the latest updates.

The goal of the foundation is to tap into other sources of funding (corporate, donations, grants, etc.) to expand opportunities at Mary Lin Elementary. Where the PTA focuses on year-to-year goals that support the school and community, the foundation develops long-range plans. These plans are made with the guidance of the Mary Lin principal and staff.
THIS YEAR’S GOALS (developed with the Mary Lin Leadership Team)
- PROMETHEAN BOARDS (approx $18,000): These interactive whiteboards would ultimately be installed in all of Mary Lin’s classes.
- PROFESSIONAL TEACHER DEVELOPMENT (approx $5000): last year Mary Lin teachers benefited from a one-time grant from APS that provided outside training to improve their math-teaching skills.
We are looking for any parents who have a background in grantseeking, research, or foundation work to help reach these lofty goals. OR, if your company has a foundation or grantmaking arm, please let us know.
