Mary Lin Parents,
The US Department of Education requires that the revised standards for race and ethnicity be implemented by the fall of 2010 in all states. However, the Georgia Department of Education is requiring school districts to report the revised race and ethnicity data by October 2009. Today, your child(ren) will be bringing home a cover letter from Superintendent Hall and a race and ethnicity survey.
Complete, sign, and return the survey by Tuesday, September 22. A completed survey must be on file for each student!
